Each October a group of volunteers, The Friends of Manna, hold a networking reception on behalf of Manna. Begun in 1996, by Jim Gray and a few of his neighbors, the event was intended to share with the local community the news of Manna's efforts to revitalize Shaw. Over the years the event has grown in size and scope. We hope to make this year's Friends of Manna the most successful yet.

The Annual Manna 5K Fun Run/Walk Date: Saturday, March 27, 2010 This family, stroller and pet-friendly event is held at Rock Creek Park. Please call Uchenna Ofodile at 202-832-1845 if you're interested in volunteering for the event. Volunteers who sign up early can volunteer and run the race for free!
